Make Way for Ducklings

It's my last day in Boston. It's pouring due to Hurricane Ida's influence. I hope to make it to the Boston Commons to see a particularly cute statue based on the book, Make Way for Ducklings. I may return to the lovely Boston Public Library too.Yesterday, I wandered around on my lunch break and was thrilled by all the stunning artwork, but that is a post in itself!!

Make Way for Ducklings
is a children's picture book written and illustrated by Robert McCloskey. First published in 1941, the book tells the story of a pair of mallard ducks who decide to raise their family on an island in the lagoon in Boston Public Garden, a park in the center of Boston, Massachusetts. Mrs. Mallard hatches eight ducklings named Jack, Kack, Lack, Mack, Nack, Ouack, Pack, and Quack.
