Gorgeous (red, white, and blue) gowns...

It's almost the Fourth of July! As a tribute to Independence Day, I wanted to post about beautiful dresses that are red, white and blue! To start it off, Dianna Argon is always a stylish gal. Here are her blue and red gowns, which look perfect on the starlet! Personally, I adore the blue one!
This lovely image is titled "an empty dress..." found on Kiss the Groom. May I have one of these dresses, please?
Blake Lively looks all blond, bronze, and blue. I'd like to have long legs like hers, if I didn't have an excuse to wear this dress! Emma Watson looks like a muse.

Which one do you like best?

Looking for helpful Czech phrases and ideas!

Ahoj! (Hi!)

Do you know any Czech? We're going to Prague in September, so I'm starting to like beer and practice a few basic phrases.

Currently, I'm looking up for a hotel in the main neighborhood of Prague, Old Town. Any ideas?

Děkuji (Thank you!)

Awesome Rock n' Roll photos

It's amazing that there are flattering photos of Mr. F and me at the finish line. We were two of the 17593 Finishers - 5033 M / 12560 F! Mr F totally commented at the start line, "so this is where all the beautiful people in Seattle hang out."

Congrats to my best friend on completing the FULL marathon too!

This is my Saturday...ran a half marathon & went to a wedding

Yay, we completed our first half marathon and we feel pretty good the day after. We didn't get any quality race photos unfortunately. The one picture taken at the finish line is not super clear [source] and I cropped Mr. F, because it's not very flattering. After the race, we enjoyed a big burger and fries at The Counter then took a nap. Later that night we went to a family wedding at the Shilshole Bay Beach Club in Ballard. I love that venue because that's where we got married!
Lester and Dawn got married upstairs in the Elks Club. They had yummy Trophy Cupcakes too. I enjoyed the chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter frosting with a hint of salt.
Amazingly enough, we had enough energy to dance to the awesome 90s hits but called it an early night after the Macrena played.

Rock and Roll Half Marathon Tomorrow!

Tomorrow is Mr. F's and my first half marathon. We're running the Rock n' Roll half marathon in Seattle starting at 7 am tomorrow. Yikes! I've been looking at motivational quotes for some inspiration. Wish me look tomorrow!  [source]

[source]

Eleanor Roosevelt: "You must do the thing you think you cannot do."

Fred Lebow, New York City Marathon co-founder:"The marathon is a charismatic event. It has everything. It has drama. It has competition. It has camaraderie. It has heroism. Every jogger can't dream of being an Olympic champion, but he can dream of finishing a marathon."

Tonight we enjoyed a big, fresh pasta dinner of chicken alfredo and squash ravioli. After watching some of True Blood, season 2, we'll go to bed early! Cheers!

Blog hop, anyone?

Thanks to the NYC Island Girl, I've just heard about about blog hopping and the “Commandments of Comments” for the first time. NYC Island Girl and the Lady Bloggers Society have great rules to write by and the following rules make the most sense to me!

Photobucket

  • Thou shall not call names. If you disagree with the author’s opinion, state why. Provide sources or examples of your experiences. Don’t just say “You’re dumb.” Maybe the author IS dumb- but don’t just say so, prove it!
  • Thou shall not encourage trolls to dwell. If you don’t know what a troll is, I envy you. When you encounter a troll, do not add fuel to the fire. Do not even acknowledge their existence. Trolls are like the bullies in grade school- if you let them know they bother you, they’ll never leave you alone; but if you ignore them, they’ll go give someone else a wedgie.
Now, according to the blog hop, I'm suppose to share random facts about myself.
1. I was born and raised in Seattle, except for the 4 years I lived in Walla Walla for college. (This may explain my love of mountains, sailing, wine, and almost all things Pacific Northwest.)
2. I love taking photos. My blog serves as a great example of how I can take pictures of anything and everything.
3. I love sailing but I never take the time to get out the family's Laser. It's been long enough that I may have forgotten how to try a bowline!

4. I used to take hunter/jumper lessons all through middle school and high school. I don't think I've ridden consistently for nearly 10 years! Although, every once and awhile, I'll take an easy trail ride with my sisters.
My pony, Rainbow, still lives at the family farm. She is now in her twenties and lives the luxe life of eating and sleeping all day.
5. Mr. F moved to the Pacific Northwest to be closer to mountains, water, and trees. (And this is all before he met me!)

It was absolutely fabulous on Saturday! We went to Mount Constitution in Moran State Park, on Saturday.  The top of observation tower has an amazing panoramic view!Janie, Chris, and Grandpa Larry enjoyed the sights too!The town of Eastsound is beautiful in the afternoon light too. We had a great time playing bocce ball after dinner at Deer Harbor Inn! The whole family enjoyed it!
