Photos of the week!

Last Friday, we had a Game of Thrones marathon with my cousin, Katy, and her adorable Tokanese kittens, Lewis and Clark. They love to purr so much!
This weekend we tried out a couple burger places with fun patios. We went to the Butcher & the Burger in Lincoln Park.
I loved the patio with its potted tomato plants and herbs.I really enjoy pretzel buns especially this All-American version burger!
On Sunday, we revisited on of our favorite burger places, 5 Star bar. We love their $6 burgers, especially  the 5 Star burger with a fried egg and hot sauce. It's amazing! The afternoon was really hot with temperatures in the mid 90s so we played with the kittens inside  with intermittent patio reading. This week has been crazy but I'm looking forward to my grandparents and uncle visiting tomorrow through the weekend. I'm also debating if I should get new glasses. These fun mocha colored frames are Chanel! Should I get new glasses?

Hump day is over

It's halfway to the weekend!! How will you be spending the rest of your week? What are you looking forward to later this week?

I'm so excited I won a staff appreciation head massage tomorrow! It's going to be a great Thursday. Also, I'm finally watching the season premiere of Grey's Anatomy. I hope I can catch up this weekend!  [source]

Awesome t-shirts

WOW, I was browsing the internet and this t-shirt made me laugh!
It's the "i love ninjas" shirt by Crazy Dog tshirts. Who doesn't love ninjas?
The dandelion tee is adorable too! It's even called "that's dandy"!

I bought the Bluth's Frozen Banana shirt for my husband because we both love Arrested Development! I'm such a nerd and couldn't pass on this Bobba Fett shirt either...
I just wish it came in women's sizes!

What are some of your favorite t-shirts?

Robinson Crusoe

Have you ever read Robinson Crusoe? I absolutely loved this book growing up. Thus, my inner tomboy did a happy dance when I saw that the book had been made into a television show. It's a great adaptation. The scenery is so cool too. Crusoe and his friend, Friday, designed an amazing treehouse (set in the Seychelles) and have awesome MacGyver-esque tools and traps. If you liked the movie, Shipwrecked, or the television series, Legend of the Seeker, I highly recommend renting this series.

The mind is its own place, and in it self
Can make a Heav’n of Hell, a Hell of Heav’n.

—John Milton, Paradise Lost[source] The handsome Philip Winchester isn't hard to watch too. [source
I didn't remember the actor from Flyboys but I really enjoyed that movie too!  [source]

The perfect song for Mr. F...the Scrubs theme song

The Scrubs theme song, "Superman" by Lazlo Bane

Out the door just in time
Head down the 405
Gotta meet the new boss by 8 am

The phone rings in the car
The wife is working hard
She's running late tonight again

Well
I know what I've been told
You gotta work to feed the soul
But I can't do this all on my own
No, I know I'm no Superman
I'm no Superman

I'm no Superman

You've got your love online
You think you're doing fine
But you're just plugged into the wall

And that deck of tarot cards
Won't get you very far
There ain't no hand to break your fall

Well
I know what I've been told
You gotta know just when to fold
But I can't do this all on my own
No, I know I'm no Superman
I'm no Superman

That's right
