My Weekend Re-cap

The pressure is starting to accumulate so I spent most of the weekend applying for jobs in Chicago.  I hope I hear back soon, so I can stop stressing so much.
We also brought cupcakes to a dinner party on Saturday.

There were several roast birds and delicious polenta.

I love playing with Finn too!

It's our two year wedding anniversary!

Mr. F and I were married at the Shilshole Bay Beach Club in Seattle, two years ago. The wedding took place on the banks of the Puget Sound in Ballard. The sun was shining and the mountains were out in full glory. It was a beautiful day!  (Erin Schedler captured the day wonderfully too!) Happy anniversary to us! Everyone was smiling and full of cheer...The bridesmaids were lovely! The Cupcake Royale cupcakes were delicious. The sunset was phenomenal. The groomsmen were dashing! We had so much fun dancing and spending time with our friends!
Here's to many, many more years of happiness!

Gorgeous Dresses and Details

Wedding season is starting soon! I love seeing all the gorgeous gowns and pretty wedding emails in my email inbox. I just had to share a few of my favorites!

Pictures from the Ruffled Blog (Pictures taken in Charleston, South Carolina):
Wedding Dresses: Carol Hannah’s shop / Hair: Rouge of Charleston / Makeup: III Jay Productions/ Photography: Caroline Ghetes / Models: Emily Hammond and Cecilia Johnson / Vintage Masks: Sweet Ruin

Don’t forget to check out Carol Hannah’s shop and blog. You can also follow her on Twitter, @HappilyEverCH.

If I were to add one thing to my wedding assemble, I would have added a beautiful headband. The new ban.do headbands are nearly as glamourous as the these Carol Hannah wedding dresses. What do you think of this headband called, Let Them Eat Cake?  I love the model's red hair with the blue ostrich feather. (As a child, I totally wanted to have red hair like this, after reading Anne of Green Gables!)

By the way, Cupcake Royale has a new flavor, just perfect for weddings. It's Lemon Mascarpone.

I've recently seen Wink Cupcakes on Queen Anne too. Has anyone tried them? I love their website photos.

What are your favorite wedding details?

Sweet Saturday night memories...

Saturday night, a year, four months, and 3 days ago...I love these photos taken by our photographer, Erin Schedler and I can't help sharing them over and over! (She's a brilliant candid photographer, check out her website erinschedlerphoto.com!)
We got married by the beach in Ballard!
We had the most adorable flower girls!
We had several flavors of cupcakes from Cupcake Royale.
Our cake toppers are now on our Christmas tree.
I adore our wedding favors, especially the Victor Hugo quote. "Life is the flower for which love is the honey."

I've been Drooling over the Rock out with your cupcake out Tee from Cupcake Royale for the last few months! I just saw on the Cupcake Royale Facebook Page:

Which cupcakes should I get for dessert tomorrow night?

My grandparents are coming over for dinner tomorrow night. My husband is planning on making Russian beef kabobs from his favorite cookbook, the Barbecue Bible. We'll probably have quinoa and a large green salad too. I'm excited to plan what we're having for dessert. I'm thinking either Trophy Cupcakes or Cupcake Royale.

Cupcake Royale is having it's 5th Annual Cupcake Harvest Festival with special flavors like, Carmel Apple, Pumpkin Maple, and Carrot Cake. Later on in November, they'll even have Cranberry Orange!

Trophy Cupcakes has Carrot Walnut, Lemon, Chocolate Peanut Butter and Triple Coconut flavors on Saturdays. I'm thinking old fashioned carrot walnut cake with cream cheese frosting or chocolate cupcakes topped with peanut butter buttercream and sprinkled with crushed salted peanuts could be perfect. Trophy's Facebook page says, "Next week our Stout Cupcake with Stout Caramel is back!" I wonder if stout cupcakes are good.

What cupcake would you prefer?

My good friend Mohit says I should get Cupcake Royale for sentimental reasons. We had wedding cupcakes from Cupcake Royale in lieu of a wedding cake. He prefers Cupcake Royale because he associates it with my wedding. Isn't he sweet?

My sister-in-law made Mohit hold her flowers for the photo, needless to say he wasn't as happy she was to hold them.
Here are our cake toppers on top of our wedding cupcakes!
Cupcake Royale suggested we personalize each cupcake, so we had them put sugar bees on each one!!
