Nautical inspiration

Dreaming...of Cabo fashion

Apparently, rosy, coral and more of the hottest blush shades are what's "in" on the red carpet right now!

I love J. Crew's ruched Betty french top! I think I'll ask for this swimsuit, in peacock blue, for my upcoming birthday!

WE'RE GOING TO CABO SAN LUCAS!!!!!!!

Oh my goodness, how'd I get so lucky?!? We're planning for a tropical vacation with our best friends from college to Cabo San Lucas!! They're thinking of getting married in Cabo, so there may be some wedding planning while we're there!!!

I've never been and the pictures look sooo amazing! Have you ever been? Do you have any suggestions?

Hello Haleakala!

We woke up at 5am the day after New Year's to watch the sunrise at the highest point in Maui, Haleakala National Park. We arrived at 6 am to see the sunrise a little before 7 am.

It's so beautiful and serene, and the clouds shimmer with many, many colors.
I loved all the shades of pink and blue.

It was freezing, but fortunately we had bundled up in our puffy coats, mittens, and hats, beforehand!
There were a lot of people there for the sunrise. Can you see how many people packed into the visitor center?
Mr. F and I had so much fun!
If you ever watch the sunrise from Haleakala, remember to dress like you're going skiing!

Our ABCs of Washington wine

Here's a list of our favorite Washington wines:
Abeja  (or Andrew Will
Cayuse   (or Corliss)
Icicle Ridge Creek (we haven't had it yet but it's going to be a next favorite, I'm sure)
Stevens   (or Saviah
U (How is Upland Winery the only U winery in Washington? I haven't tried their wines yet, but I've very curious about their ice wine.)
Woodward Canyon  (I wish I had taken this picture! I love this Chardonnay!)
X (maybe XSV wines will be the first X Washington wine I'll try!)
Yellow Hawk was one of the first wineries I was introduced to when I lived in Walla Walla for college. Sadly, Washington Wine Report announced this winery closed its doors in July 2010.

I just read on Washington Wine Report that Cantinetta, in the Wallingford neighborhood in Seattle, has many of these wines on their wine list! This sounds like a date night to celebrate the big news Mr. F got today! I may share it on the blog when everything is settled! All photos taken by me, or found on the winery's website linked on this page!
