Fette Family Hiking

Last Saturday, Mr. F's family and I met for brunch before a long hike in the Rocky Mountain National Forest! Mr F and his Mom both wore visors and had similar beautiful bangs! We warmed up by walking around part of Lake Estes. We saw turkey vultures, posed for a few pictures on a beautiful bridge, and then drove to the Cub Lake trail head !It was perfect weather for hiking.
We got lots of great family photos too!
This is taken towards the beginning of the hike. There were many cute squirrels and chipmunks at the lake. They balanced on their hind legs and looked very cute!We thought they must have been chubby from all the hikers feeding them!Mr. F, his sister, her fiance and I waited by the lake for the parents to catch up and took a few more photos! It made my mother-in-law happy that we got a group one all together too!We finished our hike in the early afternoon, only an hour or so before the wedding started! Next up, a post with pictures from C and R's wedding ceremony!

C and R's rehearsal dinner in Estes Park, CO

My sister and brother in law got into Estes Park right before the rehearsal dinner. After we all dressed up, we took the minivan together toDevil's Gulch Road! The bride was so happy to see us! I was able to get a cute picture of the groom stealing a quick kiss. The father of the groom thanked everyone for coming to celebrate! The groom's nephew, Ryder, rode around on his two-wheeler making motorcycle noises. He is an absolutely adorable 4-year old!The family dog, Ruby, kept a close eye on him.It was great to spend more time with my sister-in-law and her fiance too!The bride and groom have a great sense of humor. This was the first appetizer in the buffet. We all enjoyed the Rocky Mountain Oysters. Do you know what they really are?The bride has a big family and it seemed like most of them made it for the rehearsal dinner. This is the bride and her Godmother, here are the bride's sisters, and more of Dexter!
The bride's sister, Maddie, took these last two photos!

Pre-wedding girls hike along Lumpy Ridge, CO

Early last Friday morning, we met the bride and some of her closest girlfriends for a hike on Lumpy Ridge. We brought the bride's dogs, Maya and Dexter along, as well as her nephew! Ryder popped wheelies on his bike on the way to the trailhead! Can you believe he's only four?!We were told there was a mountain lion seen on the trailso we didn't make it very far. However, we did have lots of fun taking photos!Dexter wasn't the only one panting. I'm not used to hiking at an elevation of nearly 8000 feet and got pretty out of breath!

I got a nice photo with my mother-in-law and my cousin's girlfriend, Sammy!

We clearly didn't pay attention to the bottom sign!We had three dogs with us and a bike!It was a brilliant blue day and wonderful for hiking with the girls!
After our short hike, the bridal party went to get pampered at the Stanley Hotel. I was lucky to get this nice shot of the bride and her mother beforehand! My mother-in-law and I hung out with the bridal party and even helped with the place cards for the wedding! I can't wait to show you how cute they are in my next few posts!!

Thursday travels to Colorado

Last Thursday, Mr. F and I flew to Denverand drove to Estes Park, Colorado with Mr. F's parents. We saw horses on our way to the Lodge on Lake Estes. We had an amazing view of the lake from our hotel room.We watched a rain squall come and go before visiting the bride and groom at their rental house on Devil's Gulch Road.

Dexter, the King Shepard, immediately greetedus when we arrived. Mr. F calls him a direwolf! Dex kept cool in the 90 degree heat by laying in puddles. The bride pointed out the Lumpy Ridge behind the house, including Alligator Rock! The bride and groom went with us to a fun bar and steakhouse for dinner. The bride,  the groom and the whole family had a great time catching up before all the other wedding guests arrived. We all had a good laugh that the bride will now have three C names! Mr. F wants to call her "C-3PO" but she prefers C to the 3.
