Ingrid Michaelson - Parachute

Chorus:
I don't need a parachute baby if I've got you
Baby, if I've got you, Idon't need a parachute
You're gonna catch me/you're gonna catch if I fall
(down, down, down)
(REPEAT)

Don't believe the things you tell yourself so late at night
You are your own worst enemy; you'll never win the fight
Just hold on to me and I'll hold onto you
it's you and me against the world it's you and me, love

(chorus)

I won't fall outta love
I won't fall outta...
I'll fall into you

Cute Xenotees giveaway on Olive Bites

The Olive Bites Blog is having a giveaway hosted by Xenotees! Here are my favorite items from the quirky, fun Etsy shop:
How cool is a shirt with the collective names of animals? Have you ever wondered what a group of giraffes are called? (A tower!) Or what you call multiple tigers? (A Streak!)

The French Pet Lobster 3/4 length tee and Nerval Lobster Tee are so awesome! Along the "leash", it says in French:
« J'ai le goût des homards, qui sont tranquilles, sérieux, savent les secrets de la mer, n'aboient pas... »

Translation:
"I have a liking for lobsters. They are peaceful, serious creatures. They know the secrets of the sea, they don’t bark..."

I also enjoy the XX chromosome t-shirt!

Here's what you could win on if you enter the giveaway on Olive Bites!

The Giant Fortune Scarf ... ( Success is a Journey ) is perfect for the upcoming Fall!

From Shakespeare in Love to Country Strong

Gwyneth Paltrow first burst into my life as Viola De Lesseps in Shakespeare in Love. I remember not being old enough to see it in theaters, because it was rated R. I was 15. Fortunately, my best friend's mom took us. I was enchanted and instantly idolized the golden couple on the silver screen. I must have watched that movie a dozen more times by the age of 16.

There was a period of time, I read nothing but Shakespearean plays. I played Hermia in A Midsummer's Night Dream my junior year of high school. My girl friends and I would quote our favorite Shakespearean lines to each other.

[last lines]
William Shakespeare: My story starts at sea... a perilous voyage to an unknown land... a shipwreck... the wild waters roar and heave... the brave vessel is dashed all to pieces, and all the helpless souls within her drowned... all save one... a lady... whose soul is greater than the ocean... and her spirit stronger than the sea's embrace... not for her a watery end, but a new life beginning on a stranger shore. It will be a love story... for she will be my heroine for all time. And her name will be Viola.

Over ten years later, in a completely different era, Gwyneth Paltrow inspires me again. She always looks stunning, but her voice is gorgeous too! I'm looking forward to December 22, 2010.

Friday and Saturday activities

On Friday evening, we were too tired for a run so we walked to the top of Queen Anne for sushi! Many of the houses were decorated for Halloween...
and my favorite decorations involved witches flying into things, like telephone poles!  We had a delicious sushi dinner at Calva Cafe, with miso soup to warm us from the chilling fall air.
Yesterday, we ran many errands including visiting the new tasting room at Bring Your Own Bottle! We tasted many Almquist wines. Saturday night, we had dinner at our friend Nichole's house. We love her Great Dane, Murphy  and her new kitten, Finn. They are both so photogenic too!
How was your weekend?

Coveting Dreamy Anthropologie Clothing

the Filamentous Cardigan is delightful and fluffy-looking, perhaps this is how I should spend my gift certificate! It would look sweet with the Genie's skirt and the Show Jumping Boots too.

I adore the Highest Accolades Dress but it's so striking, it would be hard to wear more than once! It keeps catching my Eye and reminding me of winning ribbons in hunter/jumper classes on my horses, annie and andy!

Hump day is over

It's halfway to the weekend!! How will you be spending the rest of your week? What are you looking forward to later this week?

I'm so excited I won a staff appreciation head massage tomorrow! It's going to be a great Thursday. Also, I'm finally watching the season premiere of Grey's Anatomy. I hope I can catch up this weekend!  [source]

Our last full day in Prague

We tried to see all our favorite attractions in Prague on our last full day there. We re-visited the castle again. We got a better view of the Loreta in the sunshine and listened to the beautiful bells. We re-visited the Strahov Monastery to see where Mr. F's maternal grandparents got married. This time we were able to view the inside!!
This is my favorite view of the castle, so I had to see it one more time....
I love this adorable cat themed store near the Loreta in Hradcany...
One last view picture from our hotel, Pachtuv Palace!

We took the Metro a lot on our last day, including to and from Aunt Lida's one more time.

This is a present from Aunt Lida!

We're back from Boise!

We flew last minute to Boise because the tickets were a good deal and we had't seen our best friend from college recently. We went to Boise Fry Company as one of our first orders of business. I can't believe this place had 10 different kinds of fries made out of 6 different kinds of potatoes!
One of our next stops was Powell's Sweet Shoppe. It was all decked out for Halloween and it was awesome!
MMMmmmm, Moon Pies...
Ewww!
I was tempted by the brightly colored lollipop, that reminded me of going to Disneyland as a 5 year old, but I got saltwater taffy, black licorice, and gelato!
There were so many flavors, we couldn't pick just one. Mr. F got tiramisu and I got white chocolate raspberry. I am enamored with Beav and Janelle's dog, Jax. Here, he is practicing Dog Yoga (Doga)! Here's Jax, playing with the hose in the backyard. Here's Shorty and Jax together.  They're both half Corgi!
We jumped back on a quick (1 hour) flight home early this afternoon.
We got home with just enough time to clean the house and grocery shopping before bed!
