Sunday was a very humid spring day in Chicago. Although, I didn't mind too much as I took the brown line to the Loop for an exciting DIY Party! 
First, I was greeted by my cousin's adorable Tokanese kittens. They quickly became tuckered out from so much attention this weekend. 
Throughout the party, we made Martha Stewart's Big Crepe Flowers featured on the Green Wedding Shoes Blog.

We also made the crepe flowers in varying sizes. 
We also made the Stormy Morning Cocktail! 
The Creme di Violette was beautiful but it took a few tries to get the gradient right. As we found out, substituting lemonade is not the same as fresh lime juice!
That drink is beautiful! Hopefully you had fun trying out all the "bad" attempts! This looks like such a fun party!
