Royal wedding adoration

No, I did not wake up early to watch Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding. I did however immediately Google her wedding dress this morning.
How sweet does Kate Middleton look with her Dad before the royal wedding ceremony?
Kate's sister, Pippa, looked stunning as the maid of honor.
Princess Kate's wedding gown was beautifully conservative, reminiscent of Grace Kelly's royal wedding gown.

Prince Phillip, Carole Middleton, Britain's Queen Elizabeth II
and Camilla, Duchess of CornwallThe best line in Tom and Lorenzo's commentary is "Betty looked adorable. Like Winnie the Pooh in a dress."

Wedding pictures inspired by the Royal Wedding

I love this photo. It makes me so happy. It was taken August 2nd, 2008 in Seattle on Shishole Bay Beach.
My husband pinned me in college with his Fraternity pin, so I had our pins on the inside of my wedding gown.
My talented banker husband even made my wedding jewelry.
Our flower girl was absolutely adorable and loved playing dress up with me. We had so much fun dancing in our white dresses together.
Our photographer, Erin Schedler, did a phenomenal job catching the sweetest moments in wonderful ways. For example, here we are with the our two second cousins, our flower girls.
I love this shot of my sister and me dancing.

I was also inspired by Breakfast at Toast. Check it out!

Wedding Memories for Royal Wedding Week

Mr. F and I were married August 2nd, 2008. With all the Royal wedding talk, I felt like sharing our wedding memories. The Breakfast at Toast blog is hosting a wedding week blog crawl too!
Our first dance was A Kiss to Build a Dream On by Louis Armstrong.
My dad and I danced to Unforgettable by Nat King Cole & Natalie Cole for the Father/Daughter Dance.
We had You Are So Beautiful by Joe Cocker for the Anniversary dance.
When I'm Sixty-Four by The Beatles was the Cake Cutting song.
I adore Ever Ever After by Carrie Underwood from the Enchanted Soundtrack, so we played it for the Bouquet Toss.
We didn't have a Garter Toss but I thought about playing Diamonds are Girl's Best Friend by Marilyn Monroe.

Happy Easter from St. Louis

Mr. F and I drove from Chicago to St. Louis for Easter weekend. It was a relatively quick trip across the state of Illinois, with a quick stop at Steak n' Shake, before we saw the giant Arch!
When we arrived at the in-laws house, we decided to visit the St. Louis Botanical Gardens before the impending thunderstorms. We saw Dale Chihuly's many installations in the gardens.

We saw nesting Canada geese and many, many beautiful tulips. I couldn't stop taking pictures of all the beautiful blooming flowers! Happy Easter everyone! I will post more pictures soon.

I want to dance!

[source] Every since I bought my new Bloch ballet flats, I've wanted to dance. After seeing Heather Morris' dance moves I'm even more inspired.
I'm not sure if I'm feeling more like hip hop dance classes or taking up ballet again, perhaps both.

Here are some of Heather Morris' dance tips, that I plan on employing:

"The simplest way to do something cool is the cross-turn. Like in the '80s — Michael Jackson did it. You jump and cross your legs together at the same time, and then spin out of it. That's it."

"You know what's really hot? Pop-and-locking, ticking. The moonwalk. Tricks like that.
The secret to moonwalking: You have to have slick shoes, or else your feet would get stuck. And you trick people. Your right foot pops, and you're pushing your left foot back, and once your left foot lands, you do the same thing. It just looks like you're gliding on air."

Spring hits Chicago....not quite

Spring hits Chicago by cellophanetower
Spring hits Chicago, a photo by cellophanetower on Flickr.
Currently it's thundering and pouring in Chicago. Yesterday it snowed. I love these beautiful spring flowers though, especially since they look like grapes! Is it springtime in your town?

Dreaming of summer clothes...

Wouldn't it be nice if it were warmer? It snowed in Chicago this morning. It's April 18th. My friends say, "Welcome to the Midwest!"
If I was on a shopping spree, I'd love to buy these fun blue Ray Bans! A friend of mine wore a pair like this and they look so cool.
I also enjoy these Dorothy Gale blue gingham shorts and
the Delaney eyelet skirt from J.Crew.
Who doesn't want to look as relaxed and as happy as this sidewalk stroll scene from Anthropologie?
Spring is just around the corner, I'm sure. But for now, I'll stick to my layers, overcoats, scarves, and mittens!

Anthroholic fun and walking around downtown

Today, I went to the event, "An Anthroholic Afternoon at Anthropologie"! Mr. F and I had an enjoyable walk downtown with coffee to Anthropologie this morning. It was a blustery 40 degrees, so I bundled up. I love all the bridges over the Chicago River, and can't help taking so many pictures every time we passed one!

We arrived at Anthropologie a little before 11am, so we walked around the block, before the event started.  I met Kim from the Anthroholic blog immediately! She's such a fun host. We had matching nail polish on too! She was wearing a lovely lavender color from Essie and I had a very similar one from China Glaze
There was an adorable display of sweet treats and cake set up for the Anthroholic event!
I met other fun Anthroholic blog followers too!
Kim from Anthroholic had a rack of her favorite Anthropologie items with cute comments on why she likes them.  I love this skirt and so does Kim. She writes, "It's bold but still sweet."
Also in attendance was Dea from the dea diaries, I just discovered her blog! This is Dea,Stephanie, Kim from Anthroholic, and me!

After a few hours at Anthropologie, I met Mr. F in Millennium Park.  It's spring time in Chicago! The magnolias and tulips were blooming.  It was a perfect day to take lots of pictures!
