Wishful Wednesday....Easter

'I wish' .... I could re-live one Easter memory from my childhood, and it would be the first Easter egg hunt on horseback at our family farm!
Mom had the wonderful idea when we were young to set up an Easter egg hunt on horseback. The horses hunted for potatoes wedged in trees, while us kids looked for plastic eggs on branches.
Don't forget to check out my giveaway! It closes tomorrow night!!

Hello cuteness! (And comfort!)

I'm so excited I just ordered new Cole Haan's with Nike Air, after much deliberation. I'm ecstatic for these new black ballet flats. I've worn my navy Cole Haan ballet flats into the ground after four years! I wore them for 10 hours plus when I was a medical assistant and I even wore them during a job interview! These cutie patooties will be their replacement! I hope they fit as well as all the reviews I've read on Piperlime

Oh wedding photos, how I love you, let me count the ways...

I love our wedding photos. It's been over a year and a half since we got married and I still get a thrill when I look at our pictures. What are your favorite pictures of all time? Were they candids, posed, casual or formal photos?  Gorgeous wedding photo found on A Cup of Jo...(Photo via Snippet & Ink)
As an amateur and enthusiastic photographer, I enjoy seeing and taking pictures of people at weddings. I especially like capturing wedding guests dancing. I also adore candid photos of people laughing![All photos by Erin Schedler]
Cute cousins at weddings are also some of my favorite photos too!
What are your favorite photos that you look at regularly?

Don't Rain On My Parade

Seattle was very rainy today. I don't mind running when it's sprinkling or even getting caught in heavier rain at the end of a run, but it's been pouring on and off all day. Instead of running, Mr. F and I ran errands. We finally got the snow tires off of our car (yes, we had snow tires thus, it never snowed this year!) We went to Trader Joe's. I took the car to the car wash and did laundry. At three this afternoon, I was thinking about running, but I decided to watch Funny Face instead of getting soaked! I am so surprised I had never seen Funny Face. The Glee finale made me want to see the original "Don't Rain on My Parade". I enjoyed it so much, I wanted to share with you all!

My favorite part is two minutes and twenty seconds into this clip, where Fanny Brice is singing her heart out on the tugboat passing the Statue of Liberty! (It even makes me forget her three inch long fake nails!)

I couldn't quite find the scene from Glee that sparked my curiosity, so here's a mash-up clip from Glee, Funny Face, and Idina Menzel that shows most of my favorite Glee scene:

Hope you enjoy these clips!

Magic juice & Champagne Saturday

Here's what I'm thinking of doing this Saturday night,  trying this Magic juice recipe! I'm also excited it's  The Bon Bon Rose Girls started the tradition of "Post a pic of yourself enjoying a delectable beverage of some sort or post photos of a look you would like to be sportin' and a drink you would like to be sipping."

I'm currently shopping for new Cole Haan Air ballet flats! I posted about the Air Bacara's last week, so now I'm hunting for the best deal online! Any suggestions?

Reminder to check out my giveaway and Life in the Fulmer Lane's giveaway

Please check out my giveaway! It closes on April 1st, April Fool's Day!

If you're hunting for giveaways, there's also a great one on Life in the Fulmer Lane! Katie's Silly (sister-in-law) makes neat name frames and she's giving one away, (over $100 value) from her site, http://www.pinkdoordesign.com/

What did you wish for as a kid?

As a child, I believed in fairies and monsters under the bed. When I saw this print on Rifle Paper Co., it reminded me of my vivid imagination as a child. I totally saw eyes in dark corners and wings on leaves. When I saw scary movies, they stuck with me for months, I couldn't handle vampires until college. They were just too scary! When I started thinking of scary things that go bump in the dark, I'd imagine myself in my favorite book of the moment. I had many imaginary friends that were characters from books and movies, Jo from Little WomenHaakon Haakonsen
from Shipwrecked and most of the characters from Star Wars. The Flower Fairies
were ever present, just not seen.

When I was a child, I'd hope for silly things, like
a pony.
(This wish was completed!)

To be a Olympic equestrian.
To have curly blond hair and blue eyes, like Shirley Temple, or wavy red hair, like Anne of Green Gables.
To be the smartest kid in class or the funniest.
To wear fancy dresses or a ball gown like Cinderella.
To play ball like Dottie and Kit in League of their Own
To meet a boy like Teddy from the Emily of New Moon series by L.M. Montgomery. (This wish came true too!)
To read anytime I wanted!!

What did you wish for as a kid?

P.S. I got this blog posting idea from Cupcakes and Cashmere!

What are you doing on Thoughtless Thursday?

Wishful Wednesday...handbag

'I wish' .... I could afford this ______ handbag without putting a dent in my pocketbook!

**You pick, expensive or a steal ... doesn't matter.
What new bag do you wish was yours??

I am in love with Gucci purses. The horse bit adornment is so classic and cool. I've seen the 85th anniversary bag online a few times and it's the epitome of Gucci bags. The snaffle bit is the best part too. I'd love to have it and have reason to carry it around! Since it is a limited edition, I'm sure I will not be able to own it in my lifetime. I have also noticed the Icon Bit hobo purse.... It's also out of my price range, but perhaps later in life, I may be able to rationalize it.......

Movies that make me cry....

We just finished watching The Time Traveler's Wife

Yeesh, I haven't cried that easily during a movie since I Am Sam. Rachel McAdams playing Clare was even better than I imagine when reading the book. She was so heartfelt and she made me cry so much! I read the book several years ago and forgot how bittersweet the entire book was, but especially the ending. I thought the film was a wonderful rendition of the book and exceeded my expectations with the special effects. Of course, I'm biased because I think Rachel McAdams is an adorable actress and I enjoy everything she's in. (Hello, She WAS the main character in The Notebook!)

The trailer for The Time Traveler's Wife shows all the best parts of the movie and fortunately doesn't make me too sad when I rewatch it!

If you like romantic movies with a dash of science fiction and don't mind a tearjerker, enjoy!

Cake Balls on Etsy!

Who knew there are bakeries on Etsy? The photos alone are quite tasty-looking!

My mouth is watering just looking at this delicious photo of these

Chocolate-Covered Peanut Butter Cake Balls by the Audrey Kate Rae Bakery on Etsy!

The Tiffany's red velvet cake balls are so unique and funny too!

Have you ever ordered food from Etsy? Is it safe? I'm curious because I'm making an Easter basket for my husband. I'm so excited to go to local candy stories and pick out chocolate wonders. Do you have any favorite Easter candies?

Motivation...

I had an awesome 5 mile run along the Magnolia Bluffs looking out to the Puget Sound. There were gorgeous sailboats outs and the ferries were in fine form. (I have a thing for ferry boats.) Even the steady incline at the end of the run didn't bother me this time. Now that I'm post run, I'm looking for motivation to finish my two page paper for my certificate course. It's suppose to be easy to write a two pager but this is how I really feel....
This motivational poster to exercise made me laugh though....
Okay, back to work. While I really enjoy blogging and it's so much more fun, this paper won't write itself!!

Adorable clothes I've recently seen on the web!

I loved sailing as a teenager and I wish I made time for it as an adult. I guess I could pretend by wearing this cute boat tee!
I love Cole Haan ballet flats because of their Nike Air cushioning. I think these teal slippers are sweet and sassy!

If I won the lottery, some of the things I would do would go crazy at Anthropologie and J. Crew! It's totally spring time in Seattle, how perfect is this Shadowed Vine scarf from Anthropologie? It would be so cute with the Chambray Cara dress from J. Crew!
Oooo la la.....

Beautiful faces of family reunions

What's your favorite way to spend time with your cousins? This last weekend we Wisconsin cousins attended a fish fry together, went trail running, ate at an awesome Greek restaurant and danced like crazy at an Irish Pub. How often do you see your cousins? I used to see these lovelies every summer growing up.  Now with work schedules and coordinating college vacations, it's harder to see the cousins annually! How does your family all get together? Do you have large family reunions regularly?
